Our first stop of the day was the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. Even though the clouds were quite low, it was still very picturesque.
We got the whole family out to see the views, took some quick photos and got back in the car--it was freezing out there! Then it was off to the highlands...
We made sure to stop at Glen Coe, though we didn't take the time for the tour. It was a lovely area, and I think Adam was ready to stay behind.
Our campsite that night was right on the banks of Loch Eil, near Fort William. It was lovely, though cloudy, and we had fun going down to the water after dinner at a nearby pub. It was time for our own version of the Highland Games.
First event is "drawing the loch"...
...followed by "climbing the rocks"...
...plus lots of "stone putting", of course!
Adam's version of the "caber toss".
It was a great place to stay!
But now it's time to rest up; tomorrow is a full day of driving and beautiful sights.
