More May Fun!

The end of any school year involves a certain quota of events: field days, class trips, concerts, etc.

Multiply those by four children, and you've got some serious scheduling on your hands.

It seems, at least from the photos on my computer, that Abby was our busiest child in May.

She had a choir concert:

an awards assembly,

and another choir activity/block party!

She sang an emotional duet with her good friend,
whose father was about to deploy.  Very teary, but they made it through.
Then it was on to outside games!

Dallin was desperate to go on this massive inflatable slide, but was scared to do it alone.  Even though she was wearing a dress, Abby helped him out.  What a great big sis!

Josh had no such fears, and in fact, he had a great time bouncing and catching some serious air on his way down.

Dallin eventually figured out how to climb up the big stairs to the top, and I was totally impressed with how the big kids there ushered/pulled/pushed him along up those steps, then blocked traffic at the top so he could go down safely.  They were very patient and helpful with him--not the attitude I was expecting from middle school students.

He had a great time going up and down, over and over, and everyone was very nice to let him pass and keep on sliding.  It took some serious conniving to get him out of there, but we got it done.

May also brought a Cub Scout Pack meeting for Josh.  He had been working hard to earn his Wolf badge, cranking out those requirements so we could get it all done before the summer/moving chaos began.

He did it!
And he earned himself an "Elvis Cheer" from Dad and the crowd.

"Thank you. Thank you very much!"

Ah, Cub Scouts.
