We woke up early (for us in summer, that is) so that we could get to the church for the traditional Awesome Waffle Breakfast--lots of waffles with lots of toppings. It was lovely weather for the flag raising, and my kids had fun with their friends snarfing down whipped cream with a side of waffles.
Definitely a great way to start the day!
Then we had a nice relaxing afternoon. We Skyped with Dad, who's away for work, and then watched one of the best movies I've seen in some time...
Oh yeah!
Then it was off to hang with some friends for some wonderful barbecuing, cupcakes, and fireworks!
