Spring Break!

Isn't spring break great?! We got the chance to scoot out of town for a few days, and boy, did we rack up the miles on the van! We headed over to Mesa Verde to check out the cliff dwellings; it was a beautiful morning, with just a bit of snow in the mountains. Gorgeous! We hiked around a bit, took some photos, and even managed to learn a little in the process. What a sneaky mom, making spring break educational...

Then we headed to Four Corners monument; since we have children born in all four states, we knew we had to get some photos there before our oldest leaves the nest. It was a fun stop, though we were quite the spectacle. Everyone there was very gracious as we snapped photos of the kids in their respective states. I was actually amazed at the constant flow of people there!

Then it was on to Albuquerque where we took in the aquarium (quite respectable for being in the middle of the desert!) and the zoo. Those two made for a very full day, and we didn't get home until quite late. Everyone was tired, and probably ready to head back to school on Monday. I think they got lucky--I could have made them clean their rooms!
